Another sharp rise in diesel price

After suffering through a double-digit rise in price last week, drivers again face a sharp increase in price this reporting period. The national average price for diesel fuel is up 8.4 cents per gallon to $4.143.

Prices went up in all five of the main eia districts. The most dramatic change was reported by the East Coast district, with prices there rising 9.0 cents per gallon to $4.207. All regions of the country now are averaging over $4 per gallon entering the summer season.
