Following a 16.1 cent rise last reporting period, the national average price for diesel continued its steep climb this reporting period, rising 15.5 cents per gallon to $3.974.

| Prices went up in all five of the main eia districts. The most dramatic change was reported by the Midwest district, with prices there rising 17.4 cents per gallon to $3.958. |
