Diesel price drops unexpectedly

With crude oil prices advancing to new highs, the national average price for diesel took a surprising drop this reporting period. Down 2.8 cents per gallon, the cost at the pump was a national average $4.149.

Prices went down in four out of the five main eia districts. The most dramatic change was reported by the East Coast district, with prices there dropping 3.6 cents per gallon to $4.194.
