Price for diesel skyrockets

The national average price for diesel skyrocketed in price this reporting period, shooting up 14.6 cents per gallon to $3.303. The national average price is 79 cents per gallon higher over the same period last year.

| Prices went up in all five of the main eia districts. The most dramatic change was reported by the Gulf Coast district, with prices there going up a whopping 15.7 cents per gallon to $3.219. |
