Sitton Motor Lines, Inc. recently won top honor in the Missouri Motor Carriers Association Fleet Safety Contest. The company competed with all carriers regardless of size, including the TL and LTL carriers, to win the distinction of Overall Safe Fleet Winner for 2006-2007.

“We are proud of Sitton and their commitment to safety on our state highways. We appreciate their work,” President and CEO of the Missouri Motor Carriers Association, Tom Crawford, said. “There was very stiff competition. A number of great companies were in the running for this distinction – some of the best of the best. Overall, Sitton had over four million miles without accident and that is impressive.” 

In addition to being named the Overall Safe Fleet Winner, the company won first place in the Over the Road Division, for carriers in the 1-5 million miles category as well as an honorable mention in the Local Division, for miles that they drive inside the city limits. In total, there were four divisions and four winners in each division, as well as an overall winner from all divisions.
