Driving Statuses:
Lead Driver - This full-time associate is the senior driver in the truck and is responsible for issuing and maintaining equipment and ensuring the accuracy of paperwork. Ensures all procedures and policies are followed within that truck and for all runs. Receives a higher pay rate based on this status and is scheduled to run three runs per week. The lead driver can select runs based on his spot on the seniority list.
2nd Seat/Co-Driver - This full-time associate is the second most senior driver in the truck. Becomes the lead driver if a lead is off work. When this occurs, 2nd driver upholds the responsibility of the lead driver. This position is scheduled for three runs per week and is paid less than the lead driver and the same as the casual driver.
Casual Driver - This full-time position is on call 24/7, filling seats as they become available for any second-seat driver scheduled off for that day or week. On rare occasions, casual drivers can become lead drivers or second-seat drivers if no one is available for runs (typically occurs during the busy season and is more frequent with Saturday runs), thereby meeting the bakery’s needs.
(ELDT)Entry Level Driver Trainee - Applicants with less than 1 year of experience may qualify for our 8-week entry-level driver training program. ELDT positions vary based on trainer availability and business need.
