Local Class-A CDL Delivery Driver
Schedule: Monday- Friday
Hours: Average 55–65 hours per week
Job Type: Full-Time
Orientation: Will be conducted in Birmingham, AL
We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused driver to operate a Class A tractor-trailer with a a lift gate. This position services a dedicated regional customer set and requires hands-on freight handling.
Route Details
- Home 5-7 nights per week. The exception of 1 overnight trip may occur from time to time.
- Position located in the Greenville or surrounding area.
- Delivering a radius allowing time at home nightly.
- Consistent weekly mileage and hours
- Meet with another NDI Driver to swap an empty trailer for a Full load.
- Responsible for finding/providing a safe and secure location to store the Tractor and Trailer while off duty.
Driver Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience preferred
- Experience handling and delivering freight
- Comfortable with liftgate operations and physical freight handling
- Strong attention to safety, compliance, and customer service
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer and straight truck
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Load, unload, secure, and handle freight properly
- Complete scheduled deliveries accurately and on time
- Maintain accurate delivery and vehicle documentation
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and management
- Maintain a professional, customer-focused attitude
- Pick up returns and damaged goods as needed
- Retrieve and return pallets

Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Minimum of 3 years verifiable CDL driving experience
- Experience operating liftgate-equipped vehicles
- Experience driving a tractor-trailer and operating a liftgate.
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Ability to safely load, unload, and secure freight
- Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and safe driving practices
- Ability to perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Comfortable with regional routes and overnight stays if required
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with warehouse staff and customers
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Ability to lift, move, and handle freight as required for deliveries
- Professional appearance and customer-service-oriented attitude
