SCW Transportation is seeking reliable and skilled Truck Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service, as you will interact with clients during deliveries.
Truck Driver Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer in an OTR environment.
- All no-touch pickup and deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage logs, fuel use, and any incidents during transport.
- Ensure the safe transport of goods with 53' Dry Van equipment as required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal driving regulations while maintaining a clean driving record.
Experience
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and load securing techniques.
- Class-A 5th wheel experience is required.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance practices to ensure optimal performance.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines while ensuring safety standards are met.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
