Gut Trucking is seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a dry van to deliver goods to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.

Duties

Safely operate tractor-trailer trucks to transport goods.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while minimizing fuel consumption.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage driven.
Communicate with dispatchers regarding any delays or issues encountered on the road.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding commercial driving.

Skills

Proven experience as a truck driver with a strong understanding of route driving.
Proficiency in operating a dry van.
Strong truck driving skills with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills for interacting with dispatchers and clients.
Attention to detail in maintaining logs and ensuring regulatory compliance.

CDL-A Truck Driver Requirements:

Valid CDL-A
6 months of verifiable CDL A truck driving experience required
CDLIS+ Clean Driving Record: No major violations in the previous 3 years
DOT Pre-Employment Drug Test
Clearinghouse - No Drug and Alcohol Violations in the last 3 years
