Trucking Company Overview:

The primary function of this position is to safely drive Cameron Ashley Products flatbed trucks and curtain-side

trailers to efficiently and accurately deliver products to customers.  

Our Drivers are an extension of our sales team and they MUST, at all times, exhibit a courteous and professional attitude to our customers.


  • Willing and able to work safely at all times
  • Must satisfy all DOT requirements
  • Must have the ability to chain up commercial vehicles (in certain parts of the US)
  • Perform daily pre and post trip inspections of truck to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Ensure that material loaded for delivery matches shipping documents and that the products are in good condition
  • Ability to load and unload materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Ensure proper weight distribution of materials for DOT compliance
  • Properly and safely secure material in the truck to ensure no damage in transit
  • Maintain and update electronic logbook, trip reports, and on-board computer as required to ensure they are up-to-date at all times
  • Manage proof of delivery paperwork from customers
  • Communicate any problems upon delivery to the branch immediately
  • Communicate and interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of products and inventory
  • Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or coworkers
  • Attend periodic safety meetings as required
  • CDL Drivers may also work in the warehouse as needed
  • Safe and timely loading and unloading of trucks for delivery


  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
  • Forklift Certified a plus
  • 2+ years driving, delivery and/or warehouse experience, preferably in the building materials industry
  • Safe Driving Record
  • Knowledge of safety procedures while performing driving and materials handling tasks
  • Ability to read and understand maps, routes, road signs
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Be able to pass a DOT medical examination and drug screen
