Trucking Company Overview:

Austin Powder is seeking to hire a full-time CDL-A & B Drivers to join our team. This CDL-A driver will be responsible for transporting materials from the base locations to customer sites. Great opportunity for spouse/partner drivers for our OTR roles! Current Team Mileage Rate of $0.678/mile plus stop pay adders! These OTR roles are based out of McArthur, OH, Greenville, TN or East Camden, AR.

We also have local opportunities for touch freight drivers; these drivers are home nightly and weekends.


OTR Drivers: Responsible for loading, transporting, and unloading materials from trailers and tankers to and from specified destinations. CDL-A Driver will be part of a driver team of two and drive a company provided semi-tractor with sleeper. Single driver spots and trips come available at times.

Must satisfactorily perform each of the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities listed below.

  • Drives and/or operates truck for delivery across United States.
  • Unload tankers into storage bin at customer using onboard pump.
  • Completes pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and submits maintenance requests.
  • Follows the direction of the Transportation Dispatcher in trips, routes, and procedures.
  • Develops and maintains positive work relationships with co-workers, customers, vendors, and government agencies.
  • Displays work behaviors that are honest and ethical in pursuit of APC business goals.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, product bulletins, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.


  • Complies with APC inventory management procedures.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by assuring regulatory compliance at the location, at customer sites, and during transit.
  • Completes and maintains accurate, legible paperwork as required by company policies and procedures, Department of Transportation, or other federal or state agencies.

  • Outdoor climate and terrain. Exposure to dust, noise, oils, greases, and other debris.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is also required to stand; sit; use hands to operate controls, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear.
  • Loads and unloads pallets of material or unload tanker.
  • Must be able to sleep in sleeper while team driver is driving truck (OTR drivers).


  • Education: High school or equivalent (GED) degree.
  • Must be 21 as required by DOT HAZMAT regulations.
  • Must pass a background check and negative drug screen.
  • Must be able to acquire an ATF license to possess explosives
  • Must meet requirements of all State and Federal explosive laws.
  • Fluent in English.

Licenses and Certification:

Must possess a current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the following classes.

  • Class A any combination over 26,001 with the following endorsements.
  • Hazardous Material.
  • X-Combination of Tank and Hazardous Material.
  • Air Brake


Must have acquired, as a minimum, the following experience.

  • 1 year driving experience with Class-A CDL (OTR) or 1 year experience with Class A/B CDL for our local drivers.


  • McArthur, OH, Greenville, TN & East Camden, AR: Current Opportunity is for Team Drivers. At times, single driver opportunities exist in the company.
  • Typical schedule for driver to leave Sunday afternoon/evening and return Friday.
