CDL A - Essential responsibilities and duties include:

  • Pick up and deliver hazardous and non-hazardous waste and materials with a sharp focus on customer service
  • Drive long distances, with overnights, for waste trips and drum pick-ups
  • Complete your own paperwork (manifests, logs, books of landing)
  • Assist Dispatcher, as requested
  • Show determination/eagerness to learn and retain a basic knowledge of daily work practices
  • Develop an understanding of DOT, EPA & OSHA regulations and TEI's Health and Safety Practices
  • Routinely perform pre- and post-trip inspections

Required qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Class 'A' Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Hazmat and Tanker endorsements preferred
  • Basic knowledge of (or interest in) the hazardous waste field
  • Self-motivation with the desire to learn
  • Successful completion of OSHA/ DOT physical examination which includes drug and alcohol screening
  • Availability and willingness to drive overnight for waste and drum pick-ups

 

 

CDL B - Essential responsibilities and duties include:

  • Pick up and delivery of hazardous and regulated medical waste with a sharp focus on customer service.
  • Develop a complete understanding of DOT, EPA & OSHA regulations and TEIs Health and Safety Practices.
  • Execute onsite support services for the entire lifecycle of a hazardous materials management programs at client sites by performing chemical inventories, segregating chemicals, and shipping hazardous waste off-site.
  • Characterize, consolidate, pack, and ship hazardous waste for clients per RCRA and DOT regulations.
  • Understand and execute all required paperwork, including required driver's daily logs.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
  • Show determination/eagerness to learn and retain a basic knowledge of daily work practices.

Required qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Hazmat endorsement.
  • Basic knowledge of, or interest in, hazardous waste field.
  • Self motivated person with the desire to learn.
  • Successful completion of OSHA/ DOT physical examination which includes drug and alcohol screening.
  • This is a Safety Sensitive Position.

 

Equipment Operator/CDL B - Essential responsibilities and duties include:

  • Operate vacuum trucks/tankers, straight rail roll-off trucks, as well as other equipment
  • Develop an understanding of DOT, EPA & OSHA regulations and TEI's Health and Safety Practices
  • Understand and execute all required paperwork
  • Routinely perform pre- and post-trip inspections
  • Perform confined space entries, soil remediation, chemical decontamination, underground storage tank removal and closure, sample collection, monitoring and emergency response services
  • Provide clients with high-quality and professional customer service
  • Assist Supervisor and foreman as requested
  • Maintain good attendance

Required qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
  • A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience operating vacuum trucks/tankers, straight rail roll-off trucks, as well as other equipment
  • Basic knowledge of, or interest in, hazardous waste field
  • Self-motivation with the desire to learn
  • Successful completion of OSHA/DOT physical examination which includes drug and alcohol screening
  • This is a Safety Sensitive Position

 

 

Preferred qualifications for all driver positions:

  • Completion of 40 Hour OSHA, CPR and First Aid Training
  • Experience driving Hazmat and placarding your own vehicle
  • Experience completing your own paperwork
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and computers.
