Darin and Matt visit with the Senior Director of Student Recruiting & School Partnerships at Covenant Transport, Doug Smith.
Darin and Matt sit down with the Vice President of Driver Relations at Artur Express, Sadie Church. Sadie shares her experiences in trucking from working inside driver recruiting and several years working on the other side with a lead-generation website.
Tim Norlin talks with Darin and Matt about what is happening at Roehl Transport. Tim shares his thoughts on the future of driver recruiting, why you should never stop your recruitment advertising efforts, and what he feels could be the next big hurdle for driver recruiting departments to overcome in 2023.
Matt and Darin talk with with Rachel Lovell, Vice President of People Operations at Ascend. They discuss why Beach fell short of his NFL dreams, the best vacation spots, the difference between a yodeler and a carnival barker, and Rachel shares how Ascend works to do things the right way.
The boys sit down with a true American Hero.
Adam Rocke is the Senior Director at Hiring Our Heroes, a nationwide initiative of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation to help veterans, transitioning service members, military spouses, and caregivers find meaningful employment.
The DRHH welcomes Jessie Burnette, Chief People Officer at Hirschbach Motor Lines. Jessie is our 2nd consecutive guest planning a wedding! In this episode, we discuss late-night footlong chili dogs in East Dubuque, Illinois; a mystery breakfast that Beach ate in Iowa, and Darin's upcoming 5K race.
Darin Williams and Matt Beach welcome the youngest guest to date (she wanted to make sure we knew this), Kennedy Ruley, Digital Marketing Manager of Melton Truck Lines.
In Kennedy's short 5+ years tenure at Melton, she has been promoted through the company from an intern to her current role.
We welcome Shawn and Priscilla Davis of the Tennessee CDL School to the Driver Recruiting Happy Hour podcast. We talk quite a lot about cheerleading. Really. From there, discussions move to shoes, golf, age, Priscilla and Darin both living in one-stoplight towns in Iowa, and eventually trucking.
Darin and Matt are back with another DRHH Podcast. David Pike joins the show and talks about his start in trucking, how driver recruiting has changed over course of time, and shares some ideas to attract and retain new drivers.
Rob Hatchett stops by and tries to explain chess to Darin and then explain what it's like to work with Beach. The story Beach shares about his dog is worth listening in itself.
The Driver Recruiting Happy Hour Podcast sits down with Marilyn Surber, Transportation Leader at Tenstreet. Learn a little about the alphabet soup of trucking organizations, a potential new side gig, and radio personalities.
The Driver Recruiting Happy Hour Podcast sits down with Greg Iverson, Director of Recruiting at Koch Trucking. Greg shares a scotch, talks about his association with the Shriners, while Beach covets his fez, yodels, and talks snowmen in Chattanooga. You can't make this stuff up.
